Twenty-six standard panel colors for the roof, walls, and trim — the same PBR-grade Galvalume-backed sheet steel that every red-iron kit ships with. If you want a color that isn't on this page, ask us. Kynar 500 upgrades and custom pulls are available on any job over 3,000 square feet.
How to read this page.
Every color below is available for roof, walls, wainscot, or trim. Most builds use two or three colors total — a roof, a main wall color, and one accent for trim, gables, and overhead doors. The swatches on this page are close approximations, but paint on a computer screen will never match a physical sample. We ship you free 4-inch physical chips before you sign off on any color combination, and we recommend holding them up to your site in daylight before locking anything in.
Warranty note. All standard PBR-grade colors carry a manufacturer's 40-year film integrity warranty (chip, crack, flake) and a 30-year fade warranty (Delta E under 5). Kynar 500 upgrades push both warranties to 40+ years and are recommended for coastal sites, dark colors in high-UV climates, and premium residential work.
Popular roof colors
The roof is the biggest color on any barndominium or shop — and the one that ages the hardest under sun and rain. These are the seven roof colors that account for about 80% of the roofs we install.
Wall colors — warm neutrals
Warm neutrals are the safest, most timeless wall pick. They age well, hide dust, and pair with almost any roof and trim.
Wall colors — cool neutrals & greys
Cool neutrals read modern. They pair especially well with black or charcoal roofs and stone accents.
Wall colors — earth & farmhouse
Traditional barndominium palettes. Reds, greens, and deep browns that read as timeless farmhouse rather than trend.
Trim, gable, and door accents
Trim is the smallest color decision but the one that ties everything together. Most builds pick one of the following four accent groups. The rule of thumb: trim should either match the roof (for a modern monochrome look) or contrast the walls (for a farmhouse look).

Every Ozark Closers contract includes a free color sample pack before you sign off on the final specification. Here's what you get:
- Four physical 4x6-inch panel chips in the roof, wall, and trim colors you're leaning toward — real painted steel, not printed cards
- One rendered elevation of your specific plan in your chosen color combination, so you can see the whole building before you commit
- A daylight review call where we walk through what the color will look like at your specific site orientation (south-facing walls fade faster, north walls read cooler)
Custom colors and Kynar 500 upgrades. If you want a color that isn't on this page — a specific brand match, a metallic finish, or a Kynar 500 upgrade for extra fade resistance — we can pull custom colors on any job over 3,000 square feet. Custom pulls typically add 3–6 weeks to the kit lead time and $0.35–$0.85 per square foot to the panel cost. We'll quote it before we order.
